Raymond de Souza: Auschwitz and Russia's selective memory of the Second World War - "Only visitors to Auschwitz who have been there many times tend to visit the secondary exhibitions, the national pavilions that are housed on the site. The primary exhibitions, detailing the Shoah, are overwhelming in their own right, and so very few visit the pavilions showing how what ended at Auschwitz played out in other countries. The pavilions are curated by the various countries in consultation with the Auschwitz museum authorities, so they reflect how different countries view their own role in the war and in the Holocaust. For example, the Polish pavilion is organized around the theme “The Struggle and Martyrdom of the Polish Nation 1939-1945.” The idea is clear; Poland was the first victim of the Nazi war machine and struggled mightily against it. The rebuke to those who consider occupied Poland an ally of Nazi Germany is intended and explicit. Among all the national pavilions, the Russian is an exception. Its theme: “Tragedy. Valour. Liberation.” The first gets less attention than the latter two. The Russian pavilion commemorates the Russian Jews who perished in the Holocaust, but the focus really is on two other aspects of Auschwitz: the beginning and the end. Auschwitz began, before it became an extermination camp for Jews, as a prison for Russian prisoners of war captured by Germany. And it ended with its liberation by the Soviet Red Army in January 1945, as it drove the Nazis westward out of eastern Europe. The pavilion is a reminder that the Second World War looked very different through Soviet eyes. The communist deal with the devil, to carve up Poland between Berlin and Moscow, is of course overlooked. The focus instead is on how the Soviet Union bore the brunt of the war after Hitler turned on Stalin. The Soviets took the heaviest casualties by far, and while Canadians might look to Juno Beach and D-Day as the turning point in the war, the Soviet view is that Nazis were truly defeated on the “Eastern Front” in what Stalin called “The Great Patriotic War.” The Russian pavilion at Auschwitz therefore salutes the “valour” of the Red Army, and the visitor finds it oddly celebratory upon entering. The heavy focus is on the Soviet liberation and those first on the scene are given pride of place. The emphasis is not on the tragedy but the liberation... “Putin is knowingly spreading historical lies,” Duda told Israeli television this week, arguing instead that it was the Soviet-Nazi non-aggression pact of 1939 that prepared the way for war."

Dolly the sheep didn’t develop premature arthritis after all – and that’s good news for cloning - "Dolly the sheep was just six and a half years old when she died, over half the age most sheep live to. Yet despite her relative youth, she was also thought to be suffering from osteoarthritis, a disease usually found in much older sheep. Dolly was the first animal to be cloned from a fully grown adult, and some speculated that this meant her biological age (how old her DNA was) was effectively older than her chronological age (how long she had been alive).  Evidence that Dolly’s DNA was indeed older than that of similarly aged non-cloned sheep, and her diagnosis with early onset osteoarthritis at the age of five and a half seemed to confirm this.  But my colleagues and I have published new research that reveals Dolly, and other clones born around that time, showed no abnormal pattern of osteoarthritis after all. This is important because it means it should be possible to reprogram adult cells to be used for cloning without carrying over the legacy of ageing from the original organism. In short, clones may be like brand new organisms rather than copies of old ones."

Michael P Gibson on X - "On July 21, 1969, The New York Times published the reactions of intellectuals and artists to the Moon landing. Can't help but laugh... Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose--Hatred of progress, adventure, & achievement. Same dung thrown at @elonmusk every launch.
Pablo Picasso: "It means nothing to me."
Charles Evers, Mayor of Fayette, Mississippi: "America needs to look at the Earth, not at space. Before one more dollar is spent on outer space, we must make sure that not one child here on Earth goes to the dinner table with no food on it."
Saul Alinsky: "I wish to Christ they'd take the South Vietnamese Government and stick them in the capsule. Send them to the moon one way. That's the only way to get rid of them since they won't take dough and go to Switzerland. We'll have to fight a war of independence to free ourselves from the Vietnamese."
Louis Mumford: "A symbolic act of war!...It is no accident that the climactic moon landing coincides with cutbacks in education, the bankruptcy in hospital services, the closing of libraries and museums, and the mounting defilement of the urban and natural environment, to say nothing of many other evidences of gross social failure and human deterioration."
Reinhold Niebuhr: "The chief reason for assessing the significance of the moon landing negatively, even while the paeons of triumph are sung, is that this tremendous technological achievement represents a defective sense of human values, and of a sense of priorities of our technical culture. The same technology that gave us this triumph has created many of our problems."
David Riesman: "The possibility of nuclear destruction has made a greater difference in my life than space exploration is likely to make."
Jesse Jackson: "How can this nation swell and stagger with technological pride when it has a spiritual will so crippled, when it is so weak, so wicked, so blinded and misdirected in its priorities?"
Robert Jay Lifton: "The moon landing epitomizes the more general awe and helplessness we feel before our own tools and techniques.""
The left hate success, economic growth and achievement. And they mock conservatives for being afraid of change. Ironic
Ironically, when it comes to pushing their grievance mongering agenda they claim people can care about more than one thing at once (and they also claim that you can only look into genetic differences between groups once you eliminate all discrimination, i.e. never)

South African Man Abducted, Hands Amputated in Suspected Muti Attack - "A 30-year-old walking during the early hours of the morning in Vosman, near Witbank, was attacked by six unidentified assailants on March 20th. The man had his hands and feet bound, and was told by his attackers that they planned to kill him. Instead, the attackers took the victim into a bush, amputated both of the victims hands, and took off with his body parts, leaving him to die... Muti, also known as umuthi in Zulu, is an alternative word for medicine in some localities but colloquially refers to witchcraft. Muti is characterized by the use of body parts in rituals to bring protection or strength to an individual or tribe. Oftentimes, victims are healthy young males, or the strongest warrior from a rival tribe.   ‘Muti murders’ involve the ritual killing of an individual for the use of the victims body parts in creating ‘magical medicine.’ As stated by Harriet Ngubane, a South African Anthropologist, “in a definable part of southern African medical practice … ethics permit a practitioner to recommend in certain special cases a ritual killing.”  “Ritual homicide [carries] very high professional fees … The inyanga [expert] who prescribes a muti homicide … arrives at his advice … within the … worldview of African traditional medicine.”   However, with ritual killing now illegal in South Africa, attacks on individuals which stop short of murder but involve the amputation of limbs has increased.   An academic investigation into ‘Violent Hand Amputation and Replantation in South Africa’ conducted by Wendy Young, Pragashnie Govender, and Deshini Naidoo, claims that in 2001, almost 2500 individuals were caught with body parts in their possession. This highlights just how ingrained the practice of ritual killing is in the nation...   The practice of muti is particularly prevalent in Mpumalanga, with three doctors and a nurse suspended from Bernice Samuel Hospital in 2021 after an infant admitted with diarrhea had her hand amputated"
Damn colonialism, apartheid and white supremacy!

Football news: Peru player called Osama Vinladen, brother is Saddam Hussein - "we bet emerging Peruvian footballer Osama VinLaden Jimenez Lopez (v is pronounced b in Spanish) wishes his old man picked a different world figure to salute with his name.  The 18-year-old made global headlines this week after signing with a new club in the second division of his nation’s football league.  In a radio interview Osama explained it was his father’s decision to name him after the former al-Qaeda leader – and that his brother didn’t escape either.  “My brother’s name is Saddam Hussein and my father wanted to name the third child George Bush, but it was a girl,” he said. ”When Osama bin Laden knocked down the Twin Towers, the name was in the news and I was born (a year later) on October 7, 2002... “There is a person called Hitler also in Peru. Jesus saved the world and there are Jesuses who do harm. Because there is an Osama who killed people, I don’t think there has to be a law about the name. It draws a lot of attention, from what I see.”"

Couple fights to rid Toronto home of heritage status - "A couple in an affluent midtown Toronto neighbourhood is asking the city to remove the heritage designation from their century home because they say the original owner was racist. The two-and-a-half storey, 9,000-square foot house in the Yonge and St. Clair area, was built in 1906 for Stapleton Pitt Caldecott, a former Toronto Board of Trade president who was opposed to immigration... "Stapleton Caldecott would've been appalled by us living in the house he commissioned," Mahesan told the March 28 meeting of the Toronto Preservation Board (TPB). The couple, who identifies as mixed-race, told the board they only discovered their home was a designated heritage property last year, when they began looking into modifying the house's steep stairway from the sidewalk. Because of that heritage designation, they learned, they'd need to get permission from the city before making any major changes to the property. The couple applied to the board iin January to have that designation repealed on the grounds that it was approved by the city in haste in 2018. They say a closer look would have revealed its original owner held views that should have excluded it from preservation. The city doesn't currently have a policy that would bar buildings owned by such individuals from gaining heritage status... A city staff report to the TPB concluded the home's designation had little to do with its association with Caldecott. Instead, the report says the home is worth preserving because it was designed by prominent Toronto architect Eden Smith and because of the unique structural qualities he brought to the building... Adam Wynne, a board member and chair of the Toronto and East York Community Preservation Panel, told CBC Toronto his own research shows that Caldecott only lived in the house for a few months before he died in 1907... while Caldecott believed immigrants should be assimilated into the mainstream society of the day, Akladios told CBC Toronto, "I don't call him a racist in my report. It's perhaps their (the homeowners') view...I don't call him a racist." Instead of repealing the heritage designation bylaw, the board voted to remove all references to Caldecott from city documents that explain the house's significance. Mahesan told the board that's not good enough. He said simply removing references to Caldecott amounts to "putting our thumbs over that part of history." "The only appropriate remedy is to repeal the bylaw" that gave the home its heritage designation in the first place, he said... Wynne told CBC Toronto he's never heard of a property owner who wanted the heritage designation removed from their property on the grounds that the original owner allegedly held racist views... Earle told CBC Toronto she's upset with the board's decision, calling it "a smack in the face." "How would I know that a city like Toronto has a preservation society which intends to celebrate racism more than the people living in the homes?" she asked. "How is that something an average homeowner is supposed to know?"... Earle said she intends to pursue the couple's goal of having the heritage designation removed from the house. Their lawyer raised the possibility of taking the matter to the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, if necessary. As for whether the couple is looking to renovate or demolish the house, Earle told CBC Toronto they're not looking to have the designation removed "as a tactic." "I have no plans of developing this house or changing this house," she told CBC Toronto. "My issue is that I've done great work in this city and yet still I have to be racialized by living in a house that is celebrating something so anti everything that my husband and I are.""

Now seven in ten Scots want to see the back of 'divisive' Humza - "Seven in ten Scots want Humza Yousaf and his cabinet out of office after ‘years of division and decline’, a new poll has revealed. An overwhelming majority of Scots believe that a ‘fresh team of leaders’ is needed – while only a third think the SNP deserves to be re-elected... Nearly half – 46 per cent – wanted a new government at Holyrood as they did not think the SNP deserved re-election... Only 12 per cent thought the present leadership should stay while 70 per cent believed it should be replaced. And fewer than 30 per cent agreed that ‘competent’ was an accurate way to describe the Scottish Government, whilst 46 per cent said they did not agree. On specific policy areas, there have also been declines in how the public view the SNP’s handling of the NHS, education and living standards since Mr Yousaf took over as First Minister in March last year. More than half (56 per cent) now believe the Scottish Government is doing a bad job at improving the NHS... Scottish Tory chairman Craig Hoy said: ‘This damning poll shows Scots know the SNP’s independence obsession has been to the neglect of key public services. ‘Humza Yousaf and his colleagues have had their eye off the ball and have failed to tackle Scotland’s real priorities, with their constant push to break up the UK.’"

Researcher on finding cheap flights: 'You can't beat the system' - "Compared to airlines like Lufthansa or Finnair, low cost airlines like Ryanair or EasyJet often have a simpler system: The prices are increasing, the closer the flight is, but it's not that massive. What they make money on is what is called in the industry: ancillaries. Seat selection, luggage, priority-boarding. All these small things, they make you pay for in addition to the tickets. What we know is, that low cost airlines make roughly 60% of their profit by selling such ancillaries. Which is crazy: They make more money on selling additional things than on selling the ticket. And that changes the aim of the booking system: They want to use the pricing to fill the plane with as many persons as possible, in order to sell to them such additional things... You can't beat the system. So I don’t use my knowledge so much. I just know for sure that it is better to book early. That is definitely the best thing to do if you want cheap prices. Beyond that: The calculation that the systems perform, especially the forecasting of different kind of passenger flows, and how they optimize all that across the complex networks, makes it impossible to have a booking strategy as a customer.  So yes, I do what probably everyone does: I look at flight search-engines like Google Flights and try to book as early as possible."

Claim 'Welcome to Scotland' slogan cost $162,972 is Mostly False - "In response to a question on the cost of the slogan in the Scottish Parliament, the tourism minister Linda Fabiani said: “No money was used to develop the ‘Welcome to Scotland’ message”.  The main cost of the new campaign was “design, printing and installation” of advertising which was placed at airports around Scotland. The minister confirmed this cost £125,000 from existing budgets."

Guard goose - Wikipedia - "The guard goose is a domestic goose that is used as a guard animal both on farms and in other situations. Geese are considered to have excellent eyesight and to be "watchful and inquisitive", with strong territorial instincts. Goose attacks on humans are commonly reported... At times, park rangers have killed entire flocks of aggressive geese. Canada geese in Cincinnati parks have been responsible for knocking people down and breaking their bones, and called "spitting, hissing, biting attack missiles". The same aggressive, territorial behavior can be utilized in the guard capacity. Geese are intelligent enough to discern unusual people or sounds from usual stimuli. Their loud honking will alert humans when the geese are alarmed. Guard geese have been used throughout history, and in modern times"

Man confesses to murder over 1,600-year-old skull - "When detectives unearthed a woman's skull in a peat bog near his home, Peter Reyn-Bardt reportedly confessed to murdering his wife.  The skull turned out to be that of a woman who died about 1,600 years ago, a jury was told Monday.  A court in the northern English city of Chester trying Reyn-Bardt for the murder of his wife heard that experts dated the excavated skull to the year 410.  'The skull had been preserved in the peat bog for over 16 centuries and obviously has nothing to do with Malika Reyn-Bardt,' said prosecutor Martin Thomas.  'But the supreme irony is this: its discovery led directly to the arrest of the defendant and to his detailed confession,' Thomas said."

Why a “Refugees Welcome” Activist Was Murdered by a Muslim Migrant

A plausible theory to explain left wing ideology:

Why a “Refugees Welcome” Activist Was Murdered by a Muslim Migrant

"How Vittorio Arrigoni Went to Gaza Hoping to Die...

The Italian cheerleader for Hamas, Vittorio Arrigoni, has died at the hands of the Islamic terrorism that he venerated throughout his life. The fellow traveler journeyed to the Gaza Strip to prostrate himself before his secular deity, Hamas, and to assist its venture of perpetrating genocide against Israelis. Islamic terrorists, who call themselves “Salafists,” showed their gratitude to Arrigoni by kidnapping, mercilessly beating, and executing him.

This episode was, of course, all part of an expected script: even though the media and our higher literary culture never discuss the reasons, the historical record reveals one undeniable fact: like thousands of political pilgrims before him, Vittorio Arrigoni went to Gaza to die. Indeed, consciously or unconsciously, in their unquenchable quest for sacrificing human life on the altar of their utopian ideals, fellow travelers always lust for death, and if not the death of others, then of their own.

It is no coincidence that a short while before “Salafists” killed Arrigoni, Juliano Mer-Khamis, a cheerleader of terrorism in Israel who, like Arrigoni, dedicated his life to praising the Palestinian death cult and working for the annihilation of Israel, was murdered by Islamic terrorists in Jenin. It is no coincidence that Rachel Corrie, the infamous enabler of the International Solidarity Movement, a group that disrupts anti-terrorism activities of the Israel Defense Forces, committed suicide in protecting Hamas terrorists by throwing herself in front of an Israeli bulldozer. And it is no coincidence that female leftist “peace” activists are routinely raped, brutalized, and enslaved by the Arabs of Judea and Samaria that they come to aid and glorify in their Jew-hating odyssey against Israel. And don’t hold your breath, by the way, waiting for leftist feminists to protest this phenomenon; they are faithfully following in the footsteps of American fellow traveler Anna Louise Strong and the Stalinist German writer Bertolt Brecht, two typical leftist believers who were completely undisturbed by the arrests and deaths of their friends in the Stalinist purges – having never even inquired about them after their disappearance.

Beneath the leftist believer’s veneration of the despotic enemy lies one of his most powerful yearnings: to submit his whole being to a totalist entity. This psychological dynamic involves negative identification, whereby a person who has failed to identify positively with his own environment subjugates his individuality to a powerful, authoritarian entity, through which he vicariously experiences a feeling of power and purpose. The historian David Potter has succinctly crystallized this phenomenon...

This surrender to the totality involves the believer’s craving not only to relinquish his individuality to a greater whole but also, ideally, to sacrifice his life for it. Lusting for his own self-extinction, the believer craves martyrdom for the idea. As Eric Hoffer points out in his classic The True Believer, the opportunity to die for the cause gives meaning to the believer’s desire to shed his inner self...

Thus, Vittorio Arrigoni, Juliano Mer-Khasin, and Rachel Corrie were simply just faithfully continuing the long suicidal tradition of their political faith. We are well aware, after all, of the dark fate of the believers who journeyed to Russia after the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution to build communism; we are well versed of what happened to the leftist Iranians who returned to their country after the 1979 Iranian Revolution to aid Khomeini in building the Islamic paradise. Only those who cannot accept the true motivations of utopian believers can still deny what those political pilgrims were searching for in their odyssey to shed themselves of their own unwanted selves.

Does one need to excessively explain why “progressive” feminist Naomi Klein called out for bringing “Najaf to New York” in her infamous 2004 column in The Nation_,_ in which she reached her hand out in solidarity to Muqtada al-Sadr and his Islamofascist Mahdi Army in the Iraqi Shi’ite stronghold of Najaf? Bringing Najaf to New York would mean that the Iraqi Shi’ite stronghold, where Muqtada al-Sadr and his Mahdi Army at one time ran their torture chambers and sowed their terror, would be replicated on America’s shores. What could Naomi Klein possibly see admirable in the vicious nihilistic terror of the Mahdi Army? Would she remain alive for more than sixty seconds upon contact with it?

Is it possible that Klein’s impulses are related to those of Noam Chomsky, a Jew, who has distinguished himself, among other intriguing ways, by traveling to Lebanon to personally embrace the leaders of Hezbollah, whose stated top priority is to rid the world of Jews?

The murder by Iraqi terrorists of American hostage Tom Fox in March 2006 was a perfect example of this pathological phenomenon. Fox was among four members of the leftist group Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT) who were kidnapped by Islamic terrorists in Iraq in November 2005. Aside from voicing support for the terrorists, one of the group’s most powerfully articulated themes entailed the longing for death. In the 1984 speech, “God’s People Reconciling,” for example, which gave rise to the formation of the Christian Peacemaker Teams, Mennonite minister Ron Sider urged his listeners: “We must be prepared to die by the thousands.”

It is not unsurprising that when British and American troops rescued the other three CPT hostages and saved their lives, the freed captives refused to thank their liberators — who had risked their own lives participating in the rescue — or to cooperate in a critical debriefing session with intelligence officers. Doug Pritchard, the co-chairman of CPT, went out of his way to tell the world that the kidnapping itself (and by implication Fox’s murder) was _America’s _fault, not the kidnappers’ or the executioners’. “The illegal occupation of Iraq by multinational forces,” he affirmed, was the “root cause” of the kidnappings. In other words, the devil made them do it.

The freed captives resented the fact that they had been liberated by the very forces they despised. And the rescuers had robbed the remaining hostages of the idealized fate suffered by Fox. Jan Benvie, an Edinburgh teacher who was getting ready to go to Iraq with the group in the summer of 2006, learned the lesson well. She announced before her departure: “We make clear that if we are kidnapped we do not want there to be force or any form of violence used to release us.”

To the end of his life, the French philosopher Michel Foucault, who supported and adored Khomeini’s killing fields, adamantly defended “everyone’s right to kill himself.” Suicide, he boastfully wrote in a 1979 essay, was “the simplest of pleasures.” Is it a coincidence that Foucault, who had attempted to kill himself several times out of guilt feelings regarding his homosexuality, passionately supported an Islamic death cult that murdered homosexuals?...

In the end, Arrigoni’s story is the story of the Left – a story best summarized by the dictum of Goethe’s devil, which Marx perpetually invoked, as he did in The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Napoleon: “All that exists deserves to perish.”

Arrigoni is the contemporary poster boy for the political pilgrims who traveled to despotisms to help build the paradises in which they hoped to shed themselves of their own unwanted selves. They paid the ultimate price. And no lesser cost must be paid for the momentous transformation of sterilizing the unclean earth. Such disinfection can be made possible only by the purifying power of human blood — blood which, in the utopian enterprise, must, in the final chapter, become one’s own."

Protest on Parliament Hill in Ottawa openly cheers for Hamas attacks | Toronto Sun - "Lest you think this was one errant speaker at an event attended by thousands, that’s not the case. In video after video posted by those supportive of the protests, they made it clear, they support Hamas, and they don’t want Jews in the Middle East. “196 days and our resistance is still standing strong,” one of the protest organizers bellowed through the official sound system on Saturday... There has been no breathless reporting by our national television networks on these horrific statements, cheers and chants. Compare this to the breathless coverage of a lone Confederate flag on the outskirts of the Freedom Convoy protests in 2022. The entire protest movement was painted with the Nazi brush by the media and the political class for a flag that never made it to the main protest. The so-called protesters in Ottawa this weekend didn’t just say that they approved of Oct. 7 and that they supported the resistance, they also claimed Jews should get out of Israel. In a chant that has become a fan favourite at these pro-Hamas hate-filled rallies, the crowd, led by a speaker on a microphone, chanted out that Jews have no connection to the Middle East and should just go back to Europe.  It’s bizarre, it’s not historically accurate and it’s obviously hate-filled, but it’s now common in the streets of Canada... These protests are consistently filled with people who openly cheer for Hamas, who wear pins or clothing glorifying Hamas spokesman Abu Obaida, who engage in the most vile anti-Semitism.  That surely requires more than a post on social media."
If "resistance" is so good, why do they demand a ceasefire? Of course, a ceasefire just means that Israel can't defend itself while its enemies can continue to attack it

Oli London on X - "Group of Yale students form a human chain to BLOCK a Jewish student from entering the University. The chilling act of antisemitism echoes 1939, when Nazi’s blocked Jewish students from entering Vienna University- simply because they were Jews."

They Were Assaulted on Campus for Being Jews - "At Yale, Sahar Tartak was stabbed in the eye. At Columbia, Jonathan Lederer’s Israeli flag was burned and he was hit in the face.
For a second, imagine that black students at Columbia were taunted: Go back to Africa. Or imagine that a gay student was surrounded by homophobic protesters and hit with a stick at Yale University. Or imagine if a campus imam told Muslim students that they ought to head home for Ramadan because campus public safety could not guarantee their security.  There would be relentless fury from our media and condemnation from our politicians.  Just remember the righteous—and rightful—outrage over the white supremacist “Unite the Right” march in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, where neo-Nazis chanted “The Jews will not replace us.”   This weekend at Columbia and Yale, student demonstrators did all of the above—only it was directed at Jews. They told Columbia students to “go back to Poland.” A Jewish woman at Yale was assaulted with a Palestinian flag. And an Orthodox rabbi at Columbia told students to go home for their safety.  Demonstrators on these campuses shouted more chic versions of “Jews will not replace us.” At Columbia they screamed: “Say it loud and say it clear, we don’t want no Zionists here.”... Thread by @daniela127 on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "If you are a rich white woman, the easiest thing you can do to be accepted in the cool social justice circles is to listen to NPR, read prestige media, "listen to and learn from Black women," internalize those opinions, & start espousing them. I know because I was this woman. It's really very easy to do. I did it for years - it was fun, mostly subconscious, & most of the time not even that nefarious. I learned a lot about a lot of topics. I can still talk good social justice talk, and sometimes do it to my husband because it annoys him 😂 I stopped being like this around August 2020 because I saw how harmful the liberal groupthink on covid was, especially to children. But until that point, adopting progressive talking points was harmless and carried social credit - I would be accepted by the "cool girls." Of course, once you stop just blindly parroting the progressive talking points, you are quickly kicked out of the cool kids club. As I learned in August 2020, and as many progressive Jews learned in October 2023. But I digress. Back to these girls. These rich, privileged girls have adopted the social justice cause du jour - hating Israel - as a way to shed their privileged white girl status & be accepted by their social justice cool kid peers. It's really that simple. This is all performative to them. This is about rich white girls wanting to feel like they have the right opinions and will be accepted by the right people. Last year it was BLM and Defund. This year it's Free Palestine. Next year who knows. It also explains why so many of the protesters are women. Women are a) more likely to be disdained for being white & privileged; & b) more likely to seek social acceptance. Thus, women are more likely to seek to adopt a different persona as a way of gaining acceptance."

Pro-Israel Advocates Weaponize “Safety” on College Campuses - "Writing as a professor and a Jew, with a profound commitment to my students’ safety and well-being, I see an imperative for them to learn to distinguish between genuine threat and paranoia — that their judgments of the world be grounded and attentive to the workings of power, propaganda, and ideology... As Joseph Howley, a classics professor at Columbia who has been perturbed by the treatment of pro-Palestine protest on campus, told me, “Treating feelings of fear and discomfort seriously does not mean reifying them.”  Howley, who is also Jewish, noted that, by the same logic, we would not want to validate the fear felt by a white student, conditioned under racist assumptions, who called the police because they felt afraid in the presence of a Black student...   When the Hillel student group at the New School in New York City, where I teach, invited a lieutenant from the Israeli military to come speak on campus in early March, I was among several colleagues who signed a letter to our administration, requesting the planned event be canceled.  Among the reasons listed was that many students, above all Palestinians, would feel “utterly unsafe” to have an active-duty Israeli soldier on campus. This, I thought, was true, but a weak argument; the students might feel unsafe, but they would not be unsafe... we must — without presuming answers in advance — interrogate whether structures of oppression and violence are normalized and upheld in our educational institutions through these choices. The decisions will be imperfect and contested, but at least they will be based on more than feelings."
I like how the author glosses over anti-Semitism (including violence)
Is it racist when black students call the police (or more likely, campus authorities) because they feel afraid in the presence of a white student?
I like the author's hypocrisy in opposing the Israeli speaker
Going on about "structures of oppression and violence" means anyone the left approves of is good, and anyone the left disapproves of is bad
Yet another example of an anti-Israel Jew in the US. Too bad for the anti-Semitic right

German police shut down pro-Palestinian conference - "Police said they feared that one of the speakers at the conference would repeat the kind of antisemitic remarks he has made in the past.  The speaker, who appeared by video link, was named by organizers as Salman Abu Sitta.  He was the author of a January essay that expressed understanding for the Hamas militants who carried out the deadly October 7 raid in Israel that sparked the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.  Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization by Israel, the EU, the US and several other Western countries."

Germany’s Anti-Palestine Crackdown Has Reached ‘a New Low’ - "Wieland Hobart, chair of Jewish Voice said: “The anti-Muslim incitement you get these days, it’s hard not to see echoes of antisemitic incitement at different times, with scapegoating and saying they are harmful for our society.”"
Ironic. If you denounce Islamism you're Islamophobic. But if you denounce Zionism you're not anti-Semitic. No surprise terrorism supporters have double standards
Of course, the left want hate speech laws and repression against their opponents (e.g. banning the AfD), then get upset when they are affected by the same
Naturally, the article doesn't mention that at least one terrorism supporter was going to be speaking, or the rise in anti-Semitism, not even to contextualise what happened. Another admission that being "pro-Palestine" means supporting terrorism

Unfortunately, a number of employees brought the event into our buildings in New York and Sunnyvale. They took over office spaces, defaced our property, and physically impeded the work of other Googlers.   Their behavior was unacceptable, extremely disruptive, and made coworkers feel threatened. We placed employees involved under investigation and cut their access to our systems. Those who refused to leave were arrested by law enforcement and removed from our offices.  Following investigation, today we terminated the employment of twenty-eight employees found to be involved. We will continue to investigate and take action as needed.  Behavior like this has no place in our workplace and we will not tolerate it. It clearly violates multiple policies that all employees must adhere to - including our Code of Conduct and Policy on Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation, Standards of Conduct, and Workplace Concerns.  We are a place of business and every Googler is expected to read our policies and apply them to how they conduct themselves and communicate in our workplace. The overwhelming majority of our employees do the right thing. If you're one of the few who are tempted to think we're going to overlook conduct that violates our policies, think again. The company takes this extremely seriously, and we will continue to apply our longstanding policies to take action against disruptive behavior — up to and including termination.  You should expect to hear more from leaders about standards of behavior and discourse in the workplace."

Uri Pilichowski on X - "I have done some research on the true numbers in Gaza.  Originally, the Hamas run Gaza Health Ministry published that 32,000 Gazan Palestinians had been killed by Israeli forces. Of these, they claimed that 78% were women and children, and none were combatants or members of Hamas. Israel countered that 12,000 Palestinians they killed were combatants and/or members of Hamas. That leaves 20,000 Gazan Palestinian non-combatants as having been killed by Israel.  A little over a week ago, Hamas announced that over 11,000 people originally reported killed by Israeli forces couldn’t be accounted for – meaning, and this is the consensus in the global community, they were never killed. This means that 21,000 Palestinians were killed, 12,000 of whom were terrorists. That leaves 9,000 Gazan Palestinian non-combatants as having been killed by Israel.  Here’s an odd fact no one seems to be reporting. In the normal course of life, 4,000 people would’ve died over the past six months in Gaza. Hamas reports ALL deaths in Gaza as war related and killed by Israel, even those of natural means. That leaves 5,000 Gazan Palestinian non-combatants as having been killed by Israel.  Another factor not being counted is the number of Gazan Palestinians killed by Hamas rockets falling short and killing their own people. It’ll be impossible to ever calculate how many people were killed in this way, but it won’t be a small number of victims.  It is my conclusion that less than 5,000 Palestinian Gazans have been killed by force in this war; some by Israeli forces, and some by Hamas forces.  The attached screenshot is of Gazans at the beach in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza Strip, today, April 17, 2024. They criticized Israel. StopAntisemitism’s Twitter upended their lives. - The Washington Post - "Dani Marzouca was in bed trying to sleep when the phone started buzzing. An organization dedicated to publicly rebuking critics of Israel had posted on X a clip of Marzouca declaring that “radical solidarity with Palestine means … not apologizing for Hamas.”... Activists have long used the internet to publicize comments they find offensive, and such pressure campaigns have been central to movements like #MeToo and Black Lives Matter... Joan Donovan, an expert in digital activism and an assistant professor at Boston University, argued that the group’s efforts are a form of doxing — the practice of posting personal information online to encourage harassment — which in turn chills debate.  “When the mob is the judge, jury and executioner, we all end up suffering,” Donovan added... StopAntisemitism has flagged people for a variety of statements the organization considers antisemitic, including a college instructor who called Israelis “pigs”... Celine Khalife, a 25-year-old therapist, says StopAntisemitism shut down her career just as it was getting started. A video posted by StopAntisemitism shows the Palestinian American tearing down a poster of Israeli hostages. She said Israel kidnapped its own citizens, a false conspiracy theory... She said she removed the poster because it contained the phrase “Hamas terrorists” — propaganda, she argues, meant to minimize the Palestinian struggle
This article is a splendid example of false claims that anti-Semitism is being weaponised, and terrorism supporters pretending that supporting terrorism is the same thing as criticising Israel (not to mention hate speech and spreading misinformation, which the left are normally against)

Why I Resigned From the DC Abortion Fund - "I resigned from my dream job at the DC Abortion Fund (DCAF). In the four months since my resignation, the organization seemed to have grown emboldened not just to demand fealty to a progressive litmus test over the war in Gaza, but to use DCAF’s resources, time, and reputation to push out individuals who do not share their perspective, most recently and explicitly signing on to a campaign to call the Jewish musician Matisyahu—known for his peace anthem “One Day”—a “white Zionist” racist. While I wish I could be surprised by this, I’m not. This is the same pattern I experienced at the DC Abortion Fund that led to my resignation... After the tragic events in Israel on Oct. 7, everything changed for the Jewish community and for me. While it was well-known that I was the only Jewish staff member—I staffed all events and fundraisers hosted by the Jewish community—not one person from the staff or board reached out to me in the wake of the rape, murder, and kidnapping of 1,200 Israeli men, women, and children. Their silence mirrored the devastating silence many Jews experienced after Oct. 7.  On Oct. 9, with no mention of the terrible events from two days prior, DCAF’s communications team posted an Indigenous People’s Day Instagram post calling for “land back” and a “Free Palestine.”... the communications team proposed a series of Instagram slides for my review. The “Gaza Carousel,” as the draft was titled, felt deeply one-sided for a reproductive health organization that had not publicly acknowledged the rapes and other atrocities of Oct. 7. Instead, the post focused on the so-called “U.S.-funded genocide” in Gaza and only mentioned the hostages in a single bullet on the final slide. As the former executive director of a national sexual violence prevention program, I could not fathom how if choosing to speak about the war, my colleagues could willfully ignore the devastating violations of reproductive justice that happened to Israelis on Oct. 7... I maintained in that meeting—and until the end of my tenure there—that DCAF did not have the expertise in Middle East policy to weigh in on the war. DCAF had never before issued a statement on international events or foreign policy and I felt we should use the fund’s limited capacity to remain focused on the core mission of providing abortion funding. The board chair agreed that the post should not go up. It didn’t, but my decision to go directly to the chair set in motion a division within the staff that would devolve until my departure... I made the point that if a similar situation had occurred with another minority group, it would be perfectly reasonable for them to consult a supervisor, but I was told that this was “different.” I was told that “everyone knows when something is racist,” but that the language used in this post was up for debate, as if I, the only Jewish voice on staff, should not be qualified to decide for myself what was or could be deemed offensive to a Jewish person... it was explained to me, often by people with no direct connection to the land or its people, that I needed to understand “context.” At the same time, other abortion funds and reproductive health organizations began issuing statements about what was happening in Gaza. These statements contained much of the same offensive nomenclature as DCAF’s draft and some, like ARC-Southeast’s letter, went further, calling Zionism—the belief that Israel simply has a right to exist—“a contradiction to Reproductive Justice.”... the DCAF Instagram feed featured graphics from The Washington Post about deaths in Gaza with commentary overlaid, specifically that “collective punishment is the tool of fascists” and that what was happening in Gaza was “a prime and top-of-mind example of said collective punishment.” I immediately flagged this for the communications team and asked if perhaps the content was posted inadvertently since it violated the norms we had established in the meeting the previous day... Jews are not asking progressive movements, causes, or individuals to condone or celebrate Israel’s response to Oct. 7. We are not asking for them to identify solely with our suffering"

Thread by @jarvis_best on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "A lot of people are upset with Biden for declaring Easter to be Trans Day of Visibility, but to be fair, the date of was selected only because the LGBCalendar was already rather full.  The Trans Day of Visibility is March 31. Do not confuse this with the Trans Day of Remembrance, which is November 20. We must also take care to honor Transgender Parent Day (Nov 6) Trans Awareness Week (Nov 13-19) and International Pronoun Day (Oct 20).  Trans is distinct from drag. International Drag Day is July 16. But not everyone even HAS a gender to trans. Agender Pride Day is May 19. Intersex Awareness Day is Oct 26.  You can come out as any of these on National Coming Out Day, which is October 11. Omnisexual Visibility Day is July 6 so mark your calendar for that. Bisexual Awareness Week ends on September 22 but jumps right into Bisexual Visibility Day which is September 23. July 14 is International Non-Binary Day right in the middle of Non-Binary Awareness Week (July 11-17).  My personal favorite is Gay Uncle Day, August 14. Aromantic folkx cannot be easily categorized because there are a lot of different TYPES of Aromantic people. Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week is Feb 20-26.  Asexuality is not the same as Aromanticism, so it gets its own day, which is April 6. Speaking of April, we can’t forget the ladies! International Lesbian Visibility Day is April 26. Harvey Milk Day is May 22, and Stonewall Riots Day is June 28. Pansexuality is widely misunderstood so it gets a few days - Pansexuality and Panromantic Visibility Day is May 24, but don’t forget Pansexual Pride Day, which is December 8.  Spirit Day is October 21 but I can’t remember what that’s for. A lot of people confuse Pride Month (June) with LGBT History Month (October). We must observe both though, as well as Bisexual Health Awareness Month (March), and Trans Awareness Month (November). Human Rights Day is December 10 and World AIDS Day December 1. Don’t confuse either of these with HIV Survivors Day, which is June 5. May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. You should also not be hateful on March 1, which is Zero Discrimination Day.  Discrimination is DEFINITELY not OK on the International Day of Silence, which is April 22. So in sum, while Christians might be bent out of shape about Biden taking over Easter, you see that his hands were tied.  To be frank, Christians were being a bit greedy demanding two days - Easter and Christmas - to celebrate their guy. You’re not really leaving enough days on the calendar for the powerless and marginalized folks who never get enough attention."

Most gender-confused children grow out of it, landmark 15-year study concludes - as critics say it shows being trans is usually just a phase for kids - "The majority of gender-confused children grow out of that feeling by the time they are fully grown adults, according to a long-term study. Researchers in the Netherlands tracked more than 2,700 children from age 11 to their mid-twenties, asking them every three years of feelings about their gender. Results showed at the start of the research, around one-in-10 children (11 percent) expressed 'gender non-contentedness' to varying degrees. But by age 25, just one-in-25 (4 percent) said they 'often' or 'sometimes' were discontent with their gender.  The researchers concluded: 'The results of the current study might help adolescents to realize that it is normal to have some doubts about one’s identity and one’s gender identity during this age period and that this is also relatively common.' It comes amid a massive boom in transgender children receiving drugs to change their gender in the US - as critics say doctors and parents are not challenging young people enough...  'This study provides even more reason to be skeptical towards aggressive steps to facilitate gender transition in childhood and adolescence.   'The fact that rates of satisfaction are lower even just a few years later suggests that for the vast majority of people, prudence and caution, rather than a rush towards permanent surgeries or hormone therapies, will be the best approach for teenagers struggling to make sense of the world and their place in it.   'As such, policies that prohibit gender transition for minors make a great deal of sense.'... females were more likely to report being unhappy with their gender and both increasing and decreasing 'non-contentedness' were associated with lower self-reported self worth, more behavioral problems and an increase in emotional struggles.   The authors said: 'Gender non-contentedness, while being relatively common during early adolescence, in general decreases with age and appears to be associated with a poorer self-concept and mental health throughout development.'...  'As anyone who has ever been a teenager knows, puberty and its aftereffects can be a confusing time of hormonal surges, physical changes, and social insecurity.   'It isn't surprising that the highest rates of being dissatisfied in one's body would peak during this time.'  Rates of gender dysphoria, a clinical diagnosis by a healthcare professional that differs from gender non contentedness, have soared in every US state except one since 2018 - with the average age of diagnosis trending younger. An analysis of insurance claims conducted by Komodo Health Inc found between 2017 and 2021, approximately 121,880 children aged six to 17 years old were diagnosed with the condition.     In 2021, 42,000 were given the diagnosis, a 70 percent increase from 2020.   And children under 18 years old now make up one-fifth of new diagnoses each year.   In the United States, 1.6million people ages 13 and older identify as transgender... the report also found the number of sex change surgeries being carried out each year is rising rapidly - climbing by up to 40 percent in some years... In The Netherlands, debate over the issue has ramped up as more Dutch experts have voiced their concerns over the potential adverse effects of puberty blockers and hormonal therapies for minors who wish to transition... Dr Jay Richards, director of the Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Life, Religion, and Family, told DailyMail.com: 'We’ve known for over a decade that most kids who experience distress with their sexed bodies resolve those feelings after they pass through natural puberty.   'Indeed, we can infer from the DSM 5 [2013] and other sources that as many as 88 percent of gender-dysphoric girls and as many as 98 percent of gender-dysphoric boys in previous generations desisted if allowed to go through natural puberty.   'These two facts make it clear why “gender-affirming care” on minors is such an outrage. It leads, in the end, to sterilization and in many cases to a complete loss of natural sexual function.   'There is no good evidence that this helps minors long term. Moreover, it medicalizes what could very well be temporary psychological symptoms.  'History will judge this medicalized “gender-affirming care” on minors as we now judge eugenics and lobotomies.'"

Labour council threatens to impose £2,500 fine on pensioner, 68, who stuck gender critical posters on her OWN front door - "A pensioner has been threatened with a hefty fine by council bureaucrats over gender-critical posters she fixed to her front door.  Una-Jane Winfield, 68, was handed a Community Protection Notice (CPN) after complaints she was displaying 'transphobic' and 'graphic' posters.  She faces prosecution and a £2,500 fine by Labour-run Hammersmith and Fulham Council over the small images and letters on the entrance to her west London home. The posters include an A4 photograph of a women with the scars from breast removal surgery, similar to images which have been used in mainstream advertising campaigns. It is alongside an advert for the book Trans: When Ideology Meets Reality by Helen Joyce.  The door also has an image from documentary film Adult Human Female and an anonymous handwritten letter supporting Ms Winfield's gender-critical views... Ms Winfield said she believed she was singled out in what constituted a political attack for supporting women's rights. She added: 'The police came to have a look at my door on two separate occasions. 'Thankfully they understood that expression of gender-critical views is protected under the law. But the council has ignored the police.  'In a letter I was told my 'persistent and continuing conduct' was having a 'detrimental effect on the public and the LGBT community'. I've become pretty well-known for my campaigning and have never had an issue with the council until now.  'From 2012 to 2019 I had posters up trying to save Charing Cross Hospital. I've also pinned up messages objecting to local planning applications. The complaints about this display are clearly political.  'The poster is a very powerful image of girls whose bodies have been irreversibly changed by having surgery to remove their breasts.  'At some point, they have been told this would somehow change their sex. That logic doesn't bear scrutiny, such a change is impossible.'  Ms Winfield said she felt 'a duty to speak' out on the debate around trans rights and women's rights but the council had attempted to gag her from expressing her opinions. Hammersmith and Fulham Council has previously boasted of plans to be 'the most inclusive borough in the country'.  The authority's equality, diversity and inclusion policy states it measures performance using Stonewall's Workplace Index. Stonewall has been accused of using its rankings to lobby for trans rights, rewarding companies with higher ratings.  Ms Winfield claimed the council had set a double standard and inclusivity drives risked marginalising women and those who believed in biological sex.  She added: 'I've had around a dozen people knocking on my door to chat about the issues and most have been in agreement with me.'... A Hammersmith and Fulham Council spokesman said: 'We have received eight complaints about these provocative and graphic posters featuring nudity prominently displayed on a very busy public section of walkway in plain view."
Ironic. By TRA logic, biological women who transition become men. Displays of men's bare chests should be uncontroversial. So the Labour Council is being transphobic by claiming that transmen are women. Plus, nudity per se is not illegal in the UK

Why 'sex assigned at birth' is problematic and unscientific - "The American Medical Association says that the word “sex” — as in male or female — is problematic and outdated; we should all now use the “more precise” phrase “sex assigned at birth.” The American Psychological Association concurs: Terms like “birth sex” and “natal sex” are “disparaging” and misleadingly “imply that sex is an immutable characteristic.” The American Academy of Pediatrics is on board too: “sex,” it declares, is “an assignment that is made at birth.” And now the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urge us to say “assigned male/female at birth” or “designated male/female at birth” instead of “biologically male/female” or “genetically male/female.” Advocates defend this lexical revision, both on purported scientific grounds and because the traditional terminology of male and female is said to undermine “inclusivity” and “equity.” But these justifications do not hold water. And the medical associations’ newspeak twists simple scientific facts beyond recognition.  Nearly all animals, as well as many plants, reproduce sexually. In all sexually reproducing species this occurs by combining a large gamete, called an ovum — or egg — with a small gamete, called a sperm. Though some hermaphrodite plants and animals produce both ova and sperm, there are no mammalian species that do. In mammals, each individual produces only one kind of gamete. Those individuals that produce (relatively few) ova are called female; those that produce (large numbers of) sperm are called male. Whether a mammal embryo develops into a male or a female is determined by a pair of sex chromosomes: XX for females, XY for males. In short, sex in all animals is defined by gamete size; sex in all mammals is determined by sex chromosomes; and there are two and only two sexes: male and female. All this is, of course, hardly news: It has been known for over a century, and it is basic stuff from any half-decent high school course in biology. For sure, quirks of mutation or prenatal development may leave some individuals unable to produce viable gametes at all. But an infertile individual with a Y chromosome is still male, just as a one-legged person remains a full member of our bipedal species. Much is speciously made of the fact that a very few humans are born with chromosomal patterns other than XX and XY. The most common, Klinefelter syndrome with XXY chromosomes, occurs in about 0.1 percent of live births; these individuals are anatomically male, though often infertile. Some extremely rare conditions, such as de la Chapelle syndrome (0.003 percent) and Swyer syndrome (0.0005 percent), arguably fall outside the standard male/female classification. Even so, the sexual divide is an exceedingly clear binary, as binary as any distinction you can find in biology... A baby’s name is assigned at birth; no one doubts that. But a baby’s sex is not “assigned”; it is determined at conception and is then observed at birth, first by examination of the external genital organs and then, in cases of doubt, by chromosomal analysis. Of course, any observation can be erroneous, and in rare cases the sex reported on the birth certificate is inaccurate and needs to be subsequently corrected. But the fallibility of observation does not change the fact that what is being observed — a person’s sex — is an objective biological reality, just like their blood group or fingerprint pattern, not something that is “assigned.” The medical associations’ pronouncements are social constructionism gone amok. Sex is a fundamental feature of the human species; it is a key variable in psychology, sociology, and public policy. Worldwide, men commit the vast majority of homicides; women are far more likely than men to be single parents. While these distinctions are statistical, not absolute, they matter. Our public discourse becomes impoverished and distorted if we are unable to speak and write straightforwardly about sex. And nowhere is this loss clearer than in medicine. For decades, feminists have protested against the neglect of sex as a variable in medical diagnosis and treatment, and the tacit assumption that women’s bodies react similarly to men’s bodies. Two years ago, the prestigious medical journal The Lancet finally acknowledged this criticism, but the editors apparently could not bring themselves to use the word “women.” Instead the journal’s cover proclaimed: “Historically, the anatomy and physiology of bodies with vaginas have been neglected.” But now even this double-edged concession may be lost, as the denial of biological sex threatens to undermine the training of future doctors... Protecting transgender people from discrimination and harassment does not require pretending that sex is merely “assigned.”  It is never justified to distort the facts in the service of a social or political cause, no matter how just. If the cause is truly just, then it can be defended in full acceptance of the facts about the real world.  And when an organization that proclaims itself scientific distorts the scientific facts in the service of a social cause, it undermines not only its own credibility but that of science generally. How can the public be expected to trust the medical establishment’s declarations on other controversial issues, such as vaccines — issues on which the medical consensus is indeed correct — when it has so visibly and blatantly misstated the facts about something so simple as sex?"
Weird how all the professional organisations didn't get the memo that sex and gender are different and anyway who thinks they're the same is ignorant
All the TRAs are going to accuse Richard Dawkins of not understanding "advanced biology"

NHS to discourage 'social transitioning' of gender questioning children - "Health chiefs say 'social transitioning' should be no longer be viewed as a 'neutral act' due to the significant effects it may have on a child's psychology... NHS England's draft approach calls on clinicians to recognise most cases of 'gender incongruence' in children are just a phase."
From Affirmation to Caution: The U.K.’s new approach to treating gender dysphoric youth - "Recent research shows social transition seems to increase the likelihood of medicalization later... What will it take for the U.S. to follow the U.K.’s lead? Our healthcare system is so different that it’s a difficult question to answer. Countries with socialized medicine have no financial incentive to continue this kind of care, while in the U.S., the gender surgery market is “expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.23% from 2022 to 2030,” per one market research company. More than twenty-five American medical associations (which are not nonpartisan) have endorsed the affirmative approach the U.K. has now rejected. Both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, which creates standards of care for “gender diverse” people, have refused to do the kinds of systematic evidence reviews that the U.K., Sweden, Finland and the state of Florida have all done, which led to policy changes. Each came to the same conclusion: the quality of evidence was so low that these medical interventions couldn’t be deemed medically necessary. Here, we tout the same evidence as showing life-saving benefits, not uncertainty."

I will cut your torso open and break all your ribs then pull your lungs out and put bird seed food on them and just watch the birds peck at your lungs. No matter how hard you scream no one will hear you. I will have a cage of rats on your head and hear the top so the rats eat into your brain. Fucking slag, if I see you irl it's on sight"
What a victimised minority subject to violence and needing more protection. Of course, left wing logic is that the violence of the "oppressed" cannot be compared to the violence of the "oppressor"

Taeyong best boy and Reprod...: "I dont get it. If you are gay how dating someone with the same body parts as you makes you uncomfortable?"

President Biden on X - "Women in sports continue to push new boundaries and inspire us all. But right now we're seeing that even if you're the best, women are not paid their fair share. It’s time that we give our daughters the same opportunities as our sons and ensure women are paid what they deserve."
Paul A. Szypula 🇺🇸 on X - "Women in sports get paid fair. They get paid fair everywhere in the U.S. based on the quality of the work they do and demand for it. However, women’s sports are under attack by gender ideology. Men who pretend to be women are cheating and ruining women’s sports. See below."

Prisha 🦎 on X - "Transition ruins lives. It ruined mine.  Transition ruined my health. Transition destroyed my endocrine system. Transition ruined my liver. Transition made me think I was infertile. Transition took away and incinerated my healthy breasts - and transition stole food from my baby. Transition gave me a high risk and very difficult pregnancy. Transition risks the health of my son.   Transition ruined my beauty. Transition took away the natural texture of my hair, and anything normal about the hair growth on my body. Transition ruined my insulin production and pancreas and took away my ability to control my weight and my body. Transition put me in chronic pain. Transition made me into someone who needs daily medication. Transition keeps me on a medical leash.   Transition ruined many of my relationships. Transition ruined my ability to trust medical professionals. Transition made it harder to reach out for medical help. Transition broke my parents' hearts.   Transition ruined my sexuality. Transition ruined sex itself. Transition ruined my ability to have normal sexual intimacy.   Transition ruined my opportunities. I can't do as much because of the pain and frequent need for help and assistance. Transition maked it harder to explain myself, and why I look the way I do, and why I'm legally a man with a manly name when interacting with such customer service workers and etc."

NHS-funded clinic is promoting prostitution as a way for trans people to pay for their treatment - "Being a sex worker ‘can be useful and sometimes empowering’, according to a guide produced by CliniQ, a sexual counselling service for transgender people at King’s College Hospital in London. It adds: ‘It can help us pay for parts of our transition.’  The booklet by CliniQ, which is part-funded by King’s College NHS Trust and three London local authorities, also suggests that transgender men – people born in female bodies but transitioning to male – can hide the fact that they are trans when visiting gay sex parties. Entitled Cruising: A Trans Guy’s Guide To The Gay Sex Scene, it advises readers to circumvent men-only restrictions at gay saunas by only performing sex acts ‘without others seeing your genitals’. Experts warned doing so would be committing the crime of sex by deception. The pamphlet, which features crude sexual language including 22 uses of the words ‘f***’ and ‘f******’ in its 44 pages, focuses extensively on extreme sex acts, including sadomasochism and bondage.  ‘Sex in public spaces is legal, so long as other members of the public cannot see you,’ it states. ‘Or so long as it is unlikely someone will come across you having sex. For example, having sex in a quiet woodland, away from the road or path, late at night.’  Despite being targeted at pre-operative trans men – many of whom are in their late teens and early 20s – the booklet makes only a fleeting reference to pregnancy."

Stonewall on X - "Research suggests that children as young as 2 recognise their trans identity. Yet, many nurseries and schools teach a binary understanding of pre-assigned gender. LGBTQ-inclusive and affirming education is crucial for the wellbeing of all young people! 🌈"
Amazing, going after such young kids.

Thread by @berk_hamstead on Thread Reader App – Thread Reader App - "The myth of the "trans community".  The trans community is not a coherent community at all. It is an inexplicably broad demographic containing both vulnerable and dangerous people. Here's my attempt to classify the various groups. A 🧵
Trans children. An entirely coerced, mythical group of under 18s. These children cannot possibly understand nor consent to this, and shouldn't be affirmed. Tales of two year old trans children are absurd and dangerous. This is profound child abuse and must end immediately.
Straight trans ID'd girls. A demographic of teenage girls terrified by modern culture's toxic projection of womanhood. @HadleyFreeman has written compassionately about this cohort many times.
Young lesbians identifying as trans - teenage girls dealing with relentless homophobia and misogyny, mistaken in their belief that they can transition into heterosexuality. This is a very sad logic. Here's Dr Elizabeth Van Horn,Consultant Psychiatrist at the now closed GIDS admitting she's no idea where this huge demographic of young girls came from. A total dereliction of duty.
Gay men who are now trans. Activists insist that they're now straight women. These men are at risk of medical interventions that profoundly harm their fertility and sexual function, not to mention their chances of finding a partner.
Lesbians who identify as trans men. Women who have somehow concluded that they're simply too butch to be women. These women are equally at risk of medical interventions that would harm their fertility & sexual function, and can cause early menopause.
We now move on to the far more dangerous players in the "community".
The cross dresser. Typically a straight male, often married with children, doing it purely for sexual gratification. Those seeking to act it out in public, in stealth, like "Jennifer" here, are a danger to women and girls. These men relish invading women's spaces.
The male "lesbian". A straight homophobic predatory male who believes his trans status makes it acceptable to hound lesbians for sex.
The female "gay man". A straight homophobic woman who fantasises about sleeping with gay men. Activists can often be seen celebrating these women. This profoundly homophobic notion of sex-by-deception in gay saunas is endorsed and promoted by groups like @Clini_Q and people like @stephenwhittle
The child catcher. The straight cross dresser who seeks to encourage other people's children to transition via treatment now outlawed by @thecassreview. These people are a clear danger to children. What motivates these men to do this?
A variant of this is the absurd transwoman, who solely blames puberty for his bizarre appearance. This is then used to justify stunting the growth of children using puberty blockers. What exactly is he imagining here?
The opportunistic, predatory criminal. These people will exploit self ID loopholes promoted by @stonewalluk and @ScottishTrans in order to terrorise women. Those orgs will insist that even male rapists are women because self ID is sacrosanct in their ideology.
The non-binary. The most middle-class, meaningless gender identity. Typically this means a woman with short hair. To imply that these people are oppressed is absurd and offensive. This is the epitome of luxury beliefs. Predictably, @guardian made a video about them.
I struggle to comprehend how LGBTQ+ charities can possibly claim to represent the interests of such an utterly incoherent group. "Trans rights are human rights" is a vacuous slogan that shields some truly toxic groups. The cohorts in posts 2-7 contain men, women and children who have clearly been harmed by an ideology's malign influence on our institutions.  It's imperative that these people receive compassionate support from groups outside of the reckless trans movement."
